Big Bad Wolf Books 2012

The biggest book sale is back in Malaysia! Three millions books are on sale with 75% to 95% discounts. This event takes place in MIECC (Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Centre), Mines, Seri Kembangan from 7th to 23rd of December 2012, from 9AM to 9PM.

So all you book fanatics out there, you must NOT miss it!

The entrance
Since it can be imagined to get really crowded, I would advise you to get there as soon as it opens. And make sure you check on the website here for the list of books they have on sale (the website updates daily as they add more books, so it loads very slowly) and make your own shopping list. My husband Dani also thought we could have written down the names of the authors as well, since some of the books we were looking for have really large authors' names printed on the covers (which could have made it easier for us to search for the books).

I made a short list of books to buy simply by writing it down behind an old receipt from our last week grocery. I also prepared myself my own shopping bag, just to make it easy to carry books while browsing for more books.

As soon as I got there, I noticed people can't help to shop a lot. And when I mean a lot, it's really a lot, to the rate of having to carry a box (some even carried more than one) full of books to buy. Many of them even brought along luggage with wheels.

I had no idea that the books I was looking for could also get sold out in one day. Frustrated, I told myself to try to come on the launching day of this event next year.

And if you can, don't drag your babies here. Alisha was getting really confused and annoyed after waiting for her mommy to show up after disappearing into the crowd for 2 hours. Some kids can even get lost.

Books! I love books! If only I have more bookshelves to store my books or at least the bookshelves I have now are not attacked by termites.

I'm happy even though I couldn't find the books I was looking for in the list I made, I found the ones that I always wanted to buy (but too expensive in bookstores) and they were not even listed on the website.

And, yes, you might also buy a book on impulse. I did while carrying my books to the cashier. Apparently, there are more interesting books being abandoned on the way to the cashiers (maybe some people changed minds last minute), and the books could be the ones that appear sold out at their original sections. I ended up adding more books to buy.

Now I can spend my free time reading the books I bought, rather than reading online novels.
